Obituary: Mary Viola, 73, of Hazlet

Mary Viola, 73, of Hazlet, passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Newark Beth Israel Hospital, Newark.  Born in West New York, she resided in Cresskill and Matawan, before moving to Hazlet ten years ago.  She worked for Prentice Hall Publisher, Englewood Cliffs, NJ for over 25 years.  She had a love of music.   

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Assunta Pontecorvo; a brother, Joseph Pontecorvo and a sister, Delphine DiLauro.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Viola; a loving daughter, Laura Flannery and husband, Bill of Succasunna; a sister, Suzanne Petruzzelli of Hazlet; and many nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
