Obituary: Kevin Carver, 57, Grew up in Hazlet

Obituary courtesy of Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown

Kevin Carver, 57, of Brick found eternal peace on June 22, 2014 at home and in the arms of his loving wife and precious daughter and son.

Kevin was a native of NJ. Born in Newark, he grew up in Hazlet and after marrying lived in Brick with his wife and two children.

He loved boating, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, floating in the pool with his summer hat on, and mostly spending time with his family who filled his life with love.

He always took an active role with his children from helping out with sports practice to teaching them the finer art of casting a fishing rod.

He was a master craftsman whose gifted talent helped many through the years.

He was a man who you could count on for everything and anything. Kevin was a man who loved coming home at the end of each day, whether it was relaxing in his backyard oasis with his wife and a cold Bud or playing with his 5 "little rays of sunshine" who thought their Pa hung the moon.

He taught them how to fish, crab, and swim in his pride and joy- his crystal clear pool, fixed their broken toys, and made them wooden rockers in his garage workshop. They brought love and joy to him everyday along with his beautiful daughter and loving son and their spouses.

He was not only a caring dad, but also a father figure to many nieces and nephews, a brother not only to his sister, but to his 3 sister in laws also. He will never be replaced, but will live always in the countless memories he left with us.

Kevin was predeceased by his father Ernest Carver, mother Alice Carver, and mother in law Catherine Flood. He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Dawn (nee Flood) Carver, his precious daughter Jaimee Arnold and her husband David Arnold, his wonderful son David Carver and his wife Jessica (nee Thomas) Carver, his loving and most treasured grandchildren Marissa Rose and Dominick Christopher Carver and Kaitlyn Olivia, Addyson Grace, and Jacob David Arnold, his much loved sister Linda Cronin, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Kevin may be gone from this world, but lives with each of the many, many people he touched.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for the evening visiting hours on Thursday at the funeral home.
