Obituary: Catherine (Geanaris) Grau

Catherine (Geanaris) Grau, 89, of Hazlet, died Monday, Jan 13, at Care One at Holmdel.  Born in Jersey City, she lived there before moving to Hazlet.  She was a homemaker; and a member of the Holy Family Senior Club, Hazlet. 

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Grau; a daughter, Barbara Sewell in 2010; and her brother, George Geanaris.  She is survived by her loving children, Denise Holub of Mississippi; and Adrian Boardwick and her husband, Thomas, of Middletown; a son-in-law, Bill Sewell of Hazlet; three cherished grandchildren; and three precious great grandchildren. 

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, Jan. 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 7 to 9 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, N.J.  07735; and Friday, Jan. 17, from 9:30 a.m. with a 10 a.m. service at the funeral home.
