Hazlet Resident William J. Dugan Jr. Dies at 74

Dugan is survived by his wife, daughter, son and grandchildren.

William J. Dugan Jr., 74, of Hazlet died at his home on Thursday, Feb. 6. William was born in Staten Island, NY on March 25, 1939. William resided in Staten Island for most of his early life.

William married his wife Barbara after serving in the USMC. They started their family in Staten Island, but ultimately settled in Hazlet.

William was predeceased by his parents William Sr. and Ethel, his sisters Carolyn, Diane, and brother Danny. William is survived by his beloved wife Barbara of fifty-one years. He was the devoted father of daughter, Tracey McInnes and husband Randy of Oceanport, son William III of Union Beach and son Christopher and wife Tricia of Union Beach; cherished grandchildren Taylor, Nicholas, Anna, Willie and Jarred, and great-granddaughter Averie; his brother, Dennis and wife Jeanne and brother Stephen and wife Betty. He was a loving family man and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a memorial service celebrating William’s life at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Rt. 35 Middletown, NJ 07748 on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. with a prayer service at 4 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of William to the Compassionate Care Hospice (Toms River, NJ location) cchfoundation.net or your favorite charity.
