New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Tours

Join the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Foundation (NJVVMF) on Saturday, January 4, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for free tours of its Memorial led by Vietnam Veteran tour guides. Tours start in the adjacent Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center lobby. The Memorial honors all those who served our country and state during the Vietnam War, especially the 1,563 New Jerseyans who did not return home. It is a powerful and fitting tribute to their sacrifice. The Memorial is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and is located at 1 Memorial Lane in Holmdel, NJ (off the Garden State Parkway at exit 116). Call (732) 335-0033 for more information or visit www.njvvmf.org

• Designed by Hien Nguyen, the Memorial is a 200 foot open-air, circular pavilion consisting of 366 8-foot-tall black granite panels – one for each day of the year.

• Each 12 foot high panel is engraved with the name of the soldier(s) killed or reported missing on that date, and the May 7 panel, the day the war ended, points
