Applicants Sought for Brookdale Trustee Post

Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, Aug. 14.

The Brookdale Community College Trustee Search Committee is accepting resumes for an open seat on the college’s Board of Trustees through Wednesday, Aug. 14.

“This is a terrific opportunity for a resident to take a dynamic role at New Jersey’s best community college,” said Freeholder John P. Curley, liaison to the college. “Brookdale needs leaders who will help steer the future course of this quality, affordable higher education institution.”

The position is unpaid and has a term of four years, according to a news release.

Applicants must be living in Monmouth County for at least four years, and cannot be a public official. They should be knowledgeable of the opportunities and challenges facing higher education, the news release said.

“We welcome the participation of community members in helping to lead Monmouth County’s community college,” Freeholder Deputy Director Serena DiMaso said. “I cannot stress enough the importance of post-secondary education and its role in strengthening our workforce and our local economy.”

Prior applicants should update their resumes to express continued interest, the news release said.

Resumes can be sent to the Brookdale Trustee Search Committee c/o Marion Masnick, Clerk of the Board, Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Hall of Records, 1 East Main St., Freehold, N.J. 07728.

All resumes must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14.
