RAINE Foundation Volunteers Restore the IFF Baseball Fields
RAINE Foundation teams up with volunteers to restore the IFF Baseball Fields in Union Beach.
On Saturday, March 16, the RAINE Foundation teamed up with 15 volunteers to restore the IFF Baseball Field on Jersey Avenue in Union Beach.
After Superstorm Sandy hit the small town of Union Beach October 29, 2012, the baseball fields were the last to get any attention.
RAINE supplied all of the materials to rebuild the clubhouse, dugouts and fence. The two groups went into the club house and completely removed mold covered sheetrock down to the studs. They also removed old fencing that was destroyed and cemented in new fence posts for new fencing to be added around the outfield. The roof of the dugouts were rebuilt, and the batting cages were cleared of all debris and netting was secured again.
