Landmark Businesses Reopen in Keyport

Keyport Borough celebrates businesses, new and old, opening their doors in the Peal of the Bayshore.

The Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative welcomed two new businesses on Tuesday, and welcome back a Keyport staple.

Zipline Laundry opened at 214 Broad Street and is a state of the art coin-operated laundromat with a pickup and drop-off service is open until 10 p.m. with the last wash at 8:30 p.m. Keyport’s newest laundry is a state-of-the-art facility with machines for customer use and drop-off service for added convenience.

The Seaport Diner, now under new ownership, opened at 83 Broad Street. With a new menu and a new feel, the diner is back to being a Keyport favorite.  But tradition isn’t forgotten with the new look, the diner is now named Stanley’s Seaport Diner, an homage to the diner’s original owner Stanley. The railroad car turned diner has been in Keyport since 1936.

An extensive renovation of the first floor dining room by a local charity has made The Cornucopia Restaurant  a relaxing and pleasant place for breakfast , lunch or dinner, or your own catered affair.   Cornucopia Restaurant has partnered with a local group which donated time and resources to complete the restaurant’s new look.

About the KBBC:

The Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative is the managing entity of the Keyport Business Improvement District, created by ordinance of the Borough of Keyport.  It is run by an elected Board of Directors, comprised of business operators, property owners, representatives of the Borough of Keyport including Mayor and Council members, Borough committee representative, and resident representative.

Open public meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers in the Municipal building, 70 West Front Street, Keyport, unless changes to this schedule are noted.
