Holmdel's Indian Hill Talent Show - Glee

Holmdel's Indian Hill School Presents Glee Talent Show this Thursday at 7pm

Holmdel's Indian Hill Schools "got talent" !

Holmdel's Indian Hill School proudly presents “Glee,” an entertaining talent show that will feature 5th and 6th graders who can sing, dance, and play musical instruments. This year’s talent show is directed by sixth grade math and science teacher Jaclyn Mercandetti who is no stranger to talent herself.  Before earning her masters in education, Mercandetti received a bachelors degree in musical theatre and dance at Wagner College. She performed regionally for many years and became a member of Actors Equity Association, the prestigious professional union for stage actors. In addition to this Mercandetti was a 2002 PaperMill Playhouse Rising Star for her portrayal of Babe in The Pajama Game and was an apprentice at the Broadway Theatre Project where she worked with professionals including Ben Vereen and Frank Wildhorn.  It’s clear that the students at Indian Hill are benefitting from Ms. Mercandetti’s talent and professional insight.  This is guaranteed to be a fabulous show!

This year’s talent show is based on the hit television show, Glee, where students with unique talents come together to share their common love of performing. The show will feature a show-stopping opening number that will feature the full cast singing and dancing to a musical mash-up of the contemporary song “Umbrella,” with the classic standard, “Singing In the Rain.” The closing number will have the Holmdel students singing and performing sign language to the beautiful ballad,
“Imagine” by John Lennon.
