Holmdel and Hazlet Volunteers Honored by Monmouth County Parks System

From sorting donations for Sandy Relief Efforts to assisting during races, Monmouth County volunteers gave 27,000 hours to the Park System.

Six Holmdel residents and six Hazlet residents were honored for more than a combined 500 hours of service volunteering for the Monmouth County Parks System.

The volunteers were honored on March 3 at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony at Hominy Hill Golf Course. Volunteers in the park system around the county logged over 27,000 hours of service.

“Your support contributes to the success of our recreation programs, special events and park facilities on many levels," said Coordinator of Volunteers Melissa Kelly.
