Hazlet Athlete Bringing Her "A-Game" to the USA Games
Heather O'Brien will bowl at the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games next week.
Heather O'Brien of West Keansburg has a shot to bring home the gold from the Special Olympics USA Games next week.
Heather's bowling career started 20 years ago when she was eight years old. Now, at the age of 28, Heather is excited about the opportunity to compete on a national level for the first time.Β
She's seen a lot of success at the state level: "At a meet in Brick, I got for strikes in a row," she told My9NJ. "A four-bagger!"

Heather has also competed in cross country skiing, basketball, and track. She's a member of the Athlete's Congress and is a global messenger for the Special Olympics. cross country skiing, basketball.Β
The 2014 USA Games will be held right here in (and around) Princeton, from June 14 to June 21st.Β
