Promise Walk for Preeclampsia, Cranford Area NJ

The
Cranford area NJ Promise Walk for Preeclampsia will be held on Sunday, May 18,
2014 at Oak Ridge Park, 136 Oak Ridge Road, Clark, NJ 07066, rain or shine. You
might be asking yourself,  "What is
Preeclampsia?" Preeclampsia is a life-threatening disorder that occurs
only during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Preeclampsia is most often
characterized by a rapid rise in blood pressure that can lead to seizure,
stroke, multiple organ failure and death of the mother and/or baby. Thousands
of women and babies die or get very sick each year from this dangerous
condition.

The
Cranford area NJ Promise Walk is set up to help spread awareness of this
disorder to prevent more fatalities and sicknesses to mothers and their newborn
children.
