Field Of Flags Service Of Remembrance

On November 9, 2013, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Westminster
Presbyterian Church (94 Tindall Road in Middletown, NJ) will host a Service of
Remembrance in honor of the fallen and wounded.
Major John F. Campbell, USMC, Annapolis Graduate, current Commanding Officer
of Recruiting Station New Jersey and wounded veteran who served two tours in
both Iraq and Afghanistan will be the key note speaker.  Sgt. Scott Young, US Army Ret., veteran of
conflicts in both Kosovo and Iraq will speak about post traumatic stresses and
the difficulty dealing with these often unseen wounds.  Sgt. Major Gregory Vascimini, USMC, Ret., a
veteran of the Gulf Ware and multiple deployments to Afghanistan, will speak
about the stress military families face when a loved one is deployed in a war
zone.  Middletown Township Major Gerald
P. Scharfenberger will provide opening remarks.
The service will also take time to recognize the Gold Star Families of
New Jersey who lost loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan.  All are welcome to come and honor those that
have given so much of themselves and their lives for the United States and the
people of the World.  Following the
events a reception with light refreshments will be held in Harlan Hall.
