100 Days of Silence

The Center
for Holocaust, Human Rights & Genocide Education at Brookdale Community
College (Chhange) presents 100 Days of
Silence
, a dynamic art initiative that commemorates the 20th
Anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda
.  In
the 100 days from April 7 to July 4, 1994, 800,000+ men, women and children of
Rwanda were murdered. The world stood by in silence.   Chhange’s commemoration of this genocide is
like no other: it joins together students, educators, community members,
genocide survivors and respected, renowned leaders, from across the United
States, to experience history through art.
Participants created artistic responses using life size forms as canvases,
making a powerful statement about genocide and humanity.

Please join us for the Exhibit Opening on
Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2:30 – 4:00 PM.
  The Exhibit will run
through July 3, Monday – Thursday 10am – 4pm, and is located at Chhange,
Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ  07738.
