New Jersey's 2013 campaigns for state Legislature are funded by $27.7 million in contributions, NJ Spotlight reports.

Candidates in New Jersey’s legislative races have raised $27.7 million to fund their 2013 campaigns, according to NJ Spotlight analysis of New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission data.

In the 13th District, the Republican incumbents lead Democrats in fundraising by a wide margin:

The district includes Aberdeen, Atlantic Highlands, Fair Haven, Hazlet, Highlands, Holmdel, Keansburg, Keyport, Little Silver, Marlboro, Middletown, Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Rumson, Sea Bright, and Union Beach.
