Handlin and O'Scanlon Tie in Hazlet for Assembly Race
Amy Handlin and Declan O'Scanlon tied in several sections of Hazlet for the 13th district assembly race.
Hazlet voters joined the rest of Monmouth County and voted the Republican ticket on Tuesday, according to county election results.
In the governors race, Gov. Chris Christie was overwhelmingly re-elected by Hazlet residents against his challenger, Sen. Barbara Buono.
Sen. Joe Kyrillos also took the majority in the 13th district with 3,553 votes to Joe Marques' 1,747. While Kyrillos took a large majority of Monmouth County, sections of Aberdeen Township went to Marques.
Amy Handlin and Declan O'Scanlon tied in several sections of Hazlet for the 13th district assembly race, and both came out on top in the county.
Hazlet also re-elected Sheriff Shaun Golden and Freeholders Thomas Arnone and Serena DiMaso.
