St Benedict School 50th Anniversary

The parochial school at Bethany and Hillcrest Road celebrates its golden anniversary under the leadership of Ms. Mary Ellen Lilly. Tonight at 7pm: St. Ben's vs. Mother Teresa Regional in "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" contest. For information, see their website.

Public Hearing on Proposed Land Sale

On Thursday at 7pm, a public hearing on a proposed public land sale to help close a $3 million budget gap is scheduled to be held at Town Hall. About 100 people attended the last meeting, many prepared to register their objection to the sale of land at Plum Lane and Cross Farm, but the Township Committee voted to reschedule the official public hearing to Feb. 2 to give the idea more thought.

Chinese New Year Celebration

Saturday is also the Chinese New Year Celebration. The Jersey Shore Chinese School puts on a colorful, entertaining afternoon featuring the finest of the Chinese performance arts.
