Two State Hotlines Established for Sandy-Impacted Homeowners and Businesses

Residents who are seeking funding to elevate their home or business must contact the state Department of Community Affairs.

Two state hotlines have been established for homeowners and businesses impacted by Sandy.

The hotlines can be used by any residents in Ocean and Monmouth counties as well as those in other counties hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.

Homeowners can call 855-SANDYHM (855-726-3946) for information on grants through the New Jersey Stronger Housing Assistance Program. Businesses should call 855-SANDYBZ (855-726-3929) for information on Stronger New Jersey Business Grants.

“With so many rules and guidelines to follow as we rebuild from Superstorm Sandy, there are so many questions that arise,” Monmouth County Freeholder Lillian G. Burry said a prepared statement. “I encourage residents to take advantage of the two hotlines and remember that you are not alone in this process of recovery.”
