Holmdel Village School Bids Goodbye to 3rd Graders

Contributed by Doreen DeMarco

The Village School Third Graders received a very special treat on Friday, June 15 compliments of the Village School PSA.

The 2012 "graduating" class was thrilled as they entered their cafeteria that was transformed into a blue and white wonderland adorned with balloons.

Each student received the much anticipated memory book and a customized "Village School 2012" pen.

They then proceeded to the Ice Cream Bar where they received a delicious ice pop or a cup of vanilla & chocolate swirl ice cream with their choice of toppings!

A perfect ending to an amazing four years of accomplishments! On Tuesday they will receive their very own copy of a "Thru the Years" picture montage that played through out the event.

This picture montage perfectly set to music had them mesmerized; peals of laughter were heard as they watched how much they've grown since their first days of Kindergarten.

They spent the entire period with having fun with their friends and getting autographs from each other as well as their principal, Mr. Schillaci, and asst. principal, Dr. Ledford.

The Third Grade Social Committee members were so proud to give them this special send off and are confident their years spent at Village School have prepared them for a successful transition to Indian Hill!

Congratulations to all of Holmdel's graduating Class of 2012 !
