Five Things to Do This Weekend

Student film festival, Community Day, Earth Day and open house at historical sites

Plenty to do in Holmdel this week. So many volunteers put effort into the following happenings, and they would love you to come appreciate them. Best of all, they are free. 

1. Mostly sunny, beautiful weather is predicted. Not too hot, not too cold. Get outside and enjoy the spring air! 

2. Holmdel High School Film Festival: Students show their own video and animations. Tonight (Friday, April 29) at 7 p.m in the auditorium.

3. Holmdel Community Day and Baseball Bonanza. Township pride day, now moved to the spring. Parade begins at Village School, Saturday at 10 am. Festival held at nearby Cross Farm Park 11 am-4 pm. Look for the Holmdel Patch table! 

4. Weekend in Old Monmouth. Dr. Cooke's Medical Office, 67 McCampbell Rd., will be open Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Sunday, May 1 from 12:00 - 5:00 pm. Also open will be Longstreet Farm at Holmdel Park, and the nearby Holmes-Hendrickson House. Both are on Longstreet Rd., Holmdel.

5. Earth Day at Bayonet Farm, Holmdel. The annual event, celebrating nature in one of the township's most beautiful places. Sunday, from noon to 5 p.m. Bayonet Farm, Middletown Road Holmdel, NJ (between McCampbell and Stillwell Roads.)
