Free Thursday Kayaking in Keyport & Baykeeper's Summer Kayak and Ecocruise Schedule!

NY/NJ Baykeeper announces its summer schedule, including free kayaking Thursday afternoons in June.

NY/NJ Baykeeper, in conjunction with Keyport Bayfront Business Cooperative, will also be doing free afternoon paddles in the month of June from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Keyport waterfront.

NY/NJ Baykeeper, in partnership with Monmouth County Parks, will be leading guided kayak tours throughout the summer months. Tickets are $25 without a boat rental, and $35 including a boat.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Fresh Kills Park Paddle

Meet at 12:30 at the Department of Sanitation facility in Fresh Kills Park, Staten Island. Join a NYC Parks guide to get an exclusive first look at the new Fresh Kills Park.

Tuesday, August 13th

5:45 pm - 7:15 pm, Perth Amboy Sunset Paddle

Meet at 5:30 pm at the Second Street beaches for a beautiful sunset trip through Perth Amboy via the Arthur Kill up to the Conference House in Staten Island, and then back around past Wards Point and the Raritan Yacht Club.

Saturday, August 17th

4:30 pm - 6:30 pm on the Navesink River

 Saturday, September 7th

Noon - 2:30 pm, South River/Lawrence Brook Paddle

Meet at 11:30 at the Edison Boat Ramp and travel up the Lawrence River, passing the remains of Tower Marine and a wetlands restoration project!

ECO-CRUISES ABOARD THE CAPTAIN JOHN

Join the Baykeeper as your guide on a tour from 3:30pm - 7:00pm while enjoying the beauty & wildlife on the Hudson/Raritan Estuary. Ticket price includes light refreshments and beverages.

 July 21 - New York Harbor Lighthouse Tour

Join the Baykeeper, Debbie Mans, as your guide on the Captain John to visit West Bank, Romer Shoal, Coney Island, and Sandy Hook Lighthouses, most of which can only be seen by boat. This tour gives passengers a chance to see them up close.

 August 18 - Boat & Bridge Tour Around Staten Island

Join the Baykeeper, Debbie Mans, as your guide on the Captain John while circumnavigating Staten Island, through the waters of Raritan Bay, the Arthur Kill and the Kill van Kull. Highlights include the boat graveyard, the Verrazano Bridge, the Outerbridge Crossing, and the Goethals Bridge.

Boat boards at 3:30pm at the Keyport, NJ waterfront.
