Have you ever heard of the Rainbow Foundation?

Have you ever heard of the Rainbow Foundation? Real help that makes a real difference in the lives of children and their families.

I have a soft spot for kids.  I don’t remember the exact day it developed, but I think it is safe to say it probably happened when my son was born.  Happiness and relief that both my wife and he were ok, does not even begin to explain my level of joy.  That’s when I started to really notice something.  There are a lot of families that are not so fortunate.

My heart went out to those families and the thought of what they endure on a daily basis really drove me to do something.  After doing my research, I found The Rainbow Foundation and decided to get involved.

This is a great organization—not only because 100% of the net proceeds raised goes to help kids and their families, but because it provides financial first aid with dignity, compassion, and love and without any red tape. I like that.

If a family or a child needs help, Rainbow is there.  If a child needs a new wheelchair, Rainbow is there.  If a family needs presents for their children and can’t afford them because they are just trying to keep up with the medical bills and not lose their house, Rainbow is there. Or if child needs an air conditioner to make life a little more bearable, Rainbow is there…no questions asked.

Rainbow is always there to help.  From paying hospital and medical bills, making arrangements for transportation, providing prosthetic devices, or just offering cash grants to help families in dire need.  This is real help that makes a real difference in the lives of children and their families.  I love this organization.

I also plan to keep writing about Rainbow and I keeping you informed about the great work it does. As you might be able to tell, I am passionate about the work it does. There are a number of organizations out there that help children and their families, but Rainbow really goes above and beyond.

If you have never heard of Rainbow, visit its website (www.rainbowfoundation.org) to get more information.  It’s in the process of doing some major site updates, so keep coming back to look for some changes in the near future.  You can also follow the Rainbow Foundation on Facebook and Twitter.

Rainbow also has a couple of events coming up this summer, and I urge you to attend, have some fun, and help out a lot of children and their families in need at the same time:

  • Texas Hold’em Tournament – June 23, 2012, at the Red Oak Diner, Hazlet, N.J.
  • 24th Annual Thomas V. Karaban Memorial Golf Tournament – August 20, 2012, at the Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands, N.J.

And if you would like to find out more about the work of the Rainbow Foundation or how you can help, please email me or post a comment and I will be a happy to get right back with you.  Also if you know of a child in Mnmouth or Ocean County in need of assistance please let me know as well.

Thanks for taking the time to let me tell you about Rainbow!
