If you like big flavor for your Superbowl menu... or don't need any special reason to snack in style, then you're in luck. Chef Denis O'Connor of the Cracked Olive Market in Holmdel shows you how to make these tasty, tangy hot wings using homemade Cracked Olive Scampi butter in just a few steps. 

The recipe is very simple but it packs a big punch. We promise, you won't be disappointed.

CRACKED OLIVE SCAMPI STYLE HOT WINGS

1 Dozen (1lb) chicken wings

2 cups milk to soak wings

2 cups flour to dredge wings

1 gallon soy oil to fry wings

4 garlic cloves sliced thin

1/2 cup Franks Red Hot Sauce

5 tbsp Cracked Olive Scampi Butter

1 cup fresh chopped parsley

 

Soak chicken wings in milk for a short time, then dredge in flour.  

Fry wings in soy oil (makes for a crispier texture). 

In a separate frying pan, heat a few tbsp’s of soy oil then add garlic cloves and sauté.  Add Franks Red Hot Sauce to pan and simmer. 

Add Cracked Olive Scampi Butter and allow sauce to emulsify. 

Add fried wings to sauce and mix well. Serve with homemade Cracked Olive Ranch Dressing (and extra napkins!)
