Hazlet Business Owners Association Networking Event to Raise Funds for High School Scholarships

Tuesday, October 29, the Hazlet Business Owners Association is holding a networking event at the Shore Cafe, 1104 Highway 36, Hazlet, from 5:30-7:30pm to benefit its Scholarship Program.  Cost is $20 for HBOA members and Northern Chamber members, and $25 to non-members; includes assorted appetizers & desserts. Cash bar.  Event will include updates on the newly formed Hazlet Township Economic Development Committee to focus on business development along the two highway corridors that run through the Township. Both highways have seen an increase in vacant buildings and storefronts over the past few years.

The Hazlet Business Owners Association was founded on the basis for local businesses to gather and discuss matters to find a resolution that assisted in the growth of the local Hazlet Business Community.  The objective of the Association is to further the principles of fair business practices; to aid in the establishment of clear communications with the Township Government; to foster good relations with the local Police, Fire and First Aid Departments, and to assist local businesses in being treated as a valued asset of the community.

The HBOA Executive Board meetings are held at the Scudiery Enterprises Conference Room, located above Interstate Electronics at Airport Plaza the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7:15pm.  Please visit the HBOA website at http://hazletboa.org/ for more information, or email the HBOA at Sherilyn.HBOA@gmail.com.
