Greed

Taking advantage of sandy victims

I thought that no organization could top Congress for holding innocent
Americans financially hostage for selfish gain, but I have found a
group who is even more
self-centered and greedy. Surprisingly, it’s the Catholic Archdiocese
in Trenton NJ who holds themselves out to be a charitable institution.
You be the judge!
I am a teacher in Union Beach and we suffered horrendous destruction
at the hands of Sandy. Our K-8 Memorial School suffered damage almost
beyond repair. It will be months before we get back into the building.
Luckily, Keyport has generously allowed us
space, without cost, in their schools so we can continue to teach our
middle school students, but we needed to find space to teach K-5.  The
Holy Family Church had an abandoned, decaying, school building
available. We had no other choice but to ask the Archdiocese of
Trenton to use their building for those grades. They decided to charge
the outrageous sum of $47,000 a month plus utilities. We must teach,
we have no other choice. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE to the victims of this
hurricane, and a selfish truly
unchristian action on their part. I cannot let this heinous act of
greed go unnoticed.
Thank you,
Bradley Olman..
