Monmouth Arts Celebration of Excellence

Meridian Health honored for "Connecting Art to the Heart of Healing" at the home of Holmdel artist Kyle Galante last Friday evening.

The annual Monmouth Arts Celebration of Excellence, held July 27 at the home of Anthony and Kyle Galante of Holmdel, brought together patrons of the arts to honor John Lloyd, Timothy Hogan, and Steven Littleson, as well as Meridian Health.

Visionary programming that connects art to the heart of healing was the focus of the evening, including the Children’s Art Therapy program founded in 1980 at Riverview Medical Center (now also at Jersey Shore University Medical Center), the new Adult Art Therapy program, the Paint the Town Pink initiative at Riverview and the Annual Physicians Art & Photography Exhibit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Representatives from the Monmouth Arts Council saluted their commitment to the therapeutic impact of the arts and recognition that the arts are valuable for patients, family members, health providers and caregivers and can improve patient care and healthcare settings.
