African-American Arts & Heritage Festival

The African-American Arts & Heritage Festival is the oldest and largest Afrocentric festival in New Jersey, according to its organizers.

A fun-filled day for the whole family featuring great food, cultural exhibits, craft vendors and activities for children.

The Plaza Pavilion highlights local talent from a variety of musical genres; i.e R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, African and Caribbean.  The Gospel program will begin at 12:30 PM and end at 5:00 PM.  Church choirs and gospel groups from the metropolitan area have been asked to participate. There will be lots of food, such as "soul food", Carribean,African and food particular to other cultures. There will be African drumming. A mini-college fair is new this year.

In addition the Plaza Pavilion also features African Dance, classical dancing, poetry and spoken word recitals.
