The Holmdel Theatre Guilde of Holmdel High School is currently rehearshing the classic "Wizard of Oz" this year, with a talented cast with students of all ages.
In an event listing uploaded to Holmdel-Hazlet Patch by Director Joseph Clores, Clores said:
The L. Frank Baum classic is true to the 1939 movie with some interesting twists more loyal to the original book. All the familiar songs are there including “Over the Rainbow”, “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”, “If I Only Had a Brain, Heart, Courage” with a few songs not included in the film. The production will feature a full live orchestra with colorful sets and costumes.
Munchkins will be played by Holmdel High School students students from Indian Hill Elementary School.
The production will run March 7, 8 and 9, 2013 at 7:30 pm in the high school auditorium.
Tickets are $12 general admission and $5 for students and are available at the door on the evening of the performance. For groups, send an email to jclores@holmdelschools.org.
