South Laurel Ave. to Close Monday for Pipeline Installation

New Jersey Natural Gas warns of weekday closures.

NJ Natural Gas Company has informed Hazlet schools that due to construction, South Laurel Avenue will be closed to weekday commuters beginning Monday Jan. 23 and until further notice.

The segment of road between Middle Road and Route 36 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The closure is part of a yearlong New Jersey Natural Gas pipeline installation/replacement project in Holmdel and Hazlet Township.

At the same time, road work will continue on Roberts Road in Holmdel Township continue throughout the township until it reaches the intersection of S. Laurel Ave and Middle Road.
