Check it Out: Bayshore Hospital's New Signage in Holmdel

Suddenly a new look for Bayshore Community Hospital, which recently joined the Meridian Health Network.

On Thursday, prominent new signage directing motorists to the Bayshore Community Hospital complex was erected on busy Holmdel Road, at North Beers Street.

The pillar is bright blue and orange, the hospital's new colors, and joins other signage that had not changed since the 1980s. The blue and red signs are accented with a dynamic shade of orange was chosen to express Bayshore's "new possibilities," and because orange is said to stimulate creative thinking and enthusiasm, said Bayshore Community Hospital spokesman Tom Paolella.

The new Bayshore Community Hospital lettering at the roof line, which can be seen from the Parkway, is illuminated by LED lighting. "This low energy consumption, high energy output lighting can be seen from miles away," said Paolella. "What’s truly amazing about this technology is the omission of a timer. The lighting comes on when the sun goes down and turns off when the sun comes up."

These changes, which were approved by the Holmdel Planning Board last year, are part of the initial phase in the overall Master Facility plan under development.
