Litter of Puppies Named for 'Big Bang Theory' Cast Up for Adoption

Eight-week-old Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard and Bernadette are sure to be just as smart and comical as the show.

Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue (CODAR) is an Aberdeen-based, non-profit canine rescue group that takes in dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills along the east coast and works to find them any necessary medical attention, foster care and a forever home.

This week CODAR has sent Patch six dogs and six puppies looking for a permanent, loving home. If you are interested in adopting any of the animals in the slideshow, fill out the application online at www.castle-of-dreams.com.

Information about each rescue dog is included in their caption as well as below:

Simba is a Lhasa Apso mix. He’s a very sweet and happy boy who was rescued from a kill shelter in Tennessee. Simba just arrived at the Castle of Dreams and is fitting into his host family nicely.

Coco Joe

Coco Joe was dumped in a kill shelter in Tennessee. As you can see he is in desperate need of some grooming, but we’ll get him groomed and get new photos up as soon as possible. He’s a black Shih Tzu who is about 8 years old and very small. Coco Joe is housetrained and was an owner surrender. These are the best years of his life and he’s searching for a furever home to call his own.

Lulu is a Boston Terrier who was left with her brother, Tank, in a kill shelter in Tennessee. They are both housebroken, friendly, and fun to be around. Lulu is about three to four years old.

Tank is a Boston Terrier who was left with his sister, Lulu, in a kill shelter in Tennessee. They are both housebroken, friendly, and fun to be around. Tank s about two to three years old.

Big Bang Theory Puppies

Say hello to Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, and Bernadette! This litter of six puppies just arrived in New Jersey. These Shepherd-Boxer mix puppiers were dumped in a high-kill shelter in Tennessee. They are about eight weeks old.

Sheyenne is a female, white with brown Victorian Bulldog. She’s 5-years-old and a super easygoing, housetrained and lovely dog.  She was dumped in a Tennessee kill shelter. She is such a good and friendly dog that we couldn’t bear the thought of what would happen to her, so she’s now in New Jersey and waiting for the family that will love her forever.

Howie was in a kill shelter in Tennessee and was first on the list to be put down because he is heartworm positive.  Castle of Dreams took one look at this sweet boy and knew he was worth saving. He will be treated for heartworms and once cured Howie will be ready to get adopted. He should be healthy within the month. Please give Howie a chance. He was neglected,  but very sweet. He bonds quickly and needs to find that special person who will give him a forever home.
