Ill Holmdel Teen Hopes to Meet Bruce Springsteen

The Dream Factory of New Jersey has tried to reach The Boss for the last year.

It is Christopher McCann’s dream to meet The Boss.

McCann, 19, of Holmdel hopes that through the Jersey Shore chapter of the Dream Factory of New Jersey he’ll be able to meet Bruce Springsteen, according to the Asbury Park Press.

The Dream Factory, which has been trying to reach Springsteen for the last year, is a nonprofit that fulfills wishes of terminally and seriously ill children, the Asbury Park Press said. Springsteen, who owns a home in Colts Neck, is touring overseas.

McCann has been diagnosed with a plethora of illnesses including hypothyroidism, septo-optic dysplasia, autism, cerebral palsy and diabetes insipidus, according to the Asbury Park Press. He is blind, has low muscle tone, seizures, hormonal problems, among other ailments.
