Hazlet Dentist Joins Stem Cell Donor Match Campaign

Dr. Jeffrey Sachs of Hazlet will swab you now.

When Dr. Jeffrey Sachs heard about the Smiles for Shira campaign, he asked how he can help.

Sachs is a general dentist with a practice on Middle Road and Poole Avenue in Hazlet, and a personal friend of Shira and Justin Klein in Marlboro. He is inviting people to come into his dentistry office to be swabbed on the inside of a the cheek in the chance they could be the donor that saves the life of the young mother of three.

"It's like looking for a needle in a haystack," he said. "But we have to try."
