Updated: Don't Rain on Our Parade! Weather Will Cooperate with Holmdel

Bright skies for Holmdel Community Day, but a chance of rain in the afternoon.

Hundreds of people are expected to turn out for the Holmdel Community Day and HYAA Baseball/Softball Bonanza. Rain is just not a part of the plan.

As of Monday morning, Saturday's forecast is calling for a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., which is much better than earlier predictions this week saying rain would threaten the morning. The forecast is according to the National Weather Service.

The HYAA Baseball/Softball Parade kicks off from Village School at 10 a.m. The parade route is along Barbera Drive, across Route 520, and up Longbridge Road to Cross Farm Park.
