Great White Sharks In The Waters Off The Jersey Shore: Have You Seen One?

There have been recent sightings of Great Whites, but there has never been a confirmed shark attack in New Jersey waters, says an article on APP.com.

Jersey shore bathers are hearing about a few sightings of the Great White Shark in waters off the shore. Experts cite the sightings on seasonal ocean water warming, and the growth of the seal population.

Have you ever had an encounter with a Great White Shark, or another kind of shark? Tell us about it in the Comment section below.

An article in the Asbury Park Press reports that a fisherman recorded a video of a great white shark eating bait fish off Cape May on June 28, and another believes he had an encounter with one off Long Beach Island on June 20.

Last year, a Great White was seen circling a boat off the coast of Atlantic City, according to NBC10.

But don't be scared. Of the 47 shark attacks in all of the United States, there have been no shark attacks on humans reported in New Jersey waters since records have been kept in 1959, according to APP.com.
