"Bell Works" Is the New Name for the Development at Bell Labs

The new name was chosen to reflect innovation and collaboration.

The name for the huge new development on Crawfords Corner Road at the former Bell Labs complex in Holmdel is no longer "Bell Place." Its new name is "Bell Works."

Somerset Developmen posted a press release directly on Holmdel-Hazlet Patch's Announcement Board Thursday announcing its new name.

“We selected the name Bell Works to celebrate the building’s rich history and original purpose as a great place designed to foster innovation and collaboration,” said Ralph Zucker, President of Somerset Development, in the statement.

The company states that a $100 million will be spent to recast the building into a "dynamic" mixed use center.

The Atrium will be a gathering place for visitors and office workers, and a pedestrian promenade will connect tenants and visitors to dining, entertainment, and heath services, office space, educational facilities, a hotel and a conference center.

Garibaldi Group will be the office leasing agent, and M. Wilk Consulting will serve as the retail leasing agents at Bell Works. Read the full announcement here.
