$10k Lottery Ticket Hits in Hazlet

A winning ticket was sold in Hazlet on Wednesday, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

Someone at the Hazlet Train Station Deli got a big surprise on Wednesday, in the amount of $10,000.

A winning ticket was sold in Hazlet on Wednesday, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

The Holmdel Road business is one of two Monmouth County winner locations, with the other in at the 7-11 on Pinebrook Road in Eatontown.

While $10,000 may be modest compared to the $400 million jackpot. Ten locations in New Jersey sold winning tickets, from Bergen County down to Ocean County.

“Congratulations to these fortunate lottery players who purchased the winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said the Lottery’s Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become 10 more of the Lottery’s ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”

The Powerball jackpot will reset to $40,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, Sept. 21at 11 p.m.
