Shore Affiliate of the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children Elects President

Cindy Terebush has been elected as the new president of the Shore Affiliate of the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children (NJAEYC). 

Members are early childhood professionals, students and community members. The group's mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well-being of all young children in Monmouth County and their families, with a special emphasis on providing members with appropriate education and resources to improve.

Cindy notes that she is “honored to have been elected President of the Shore Affiliate and to represent Monmouth County early childhood professionals, students and other members at board meetings of the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children.” 

“In this competitive world, NJAEYC and the national organization, NAEYC, work to ensure that young children are educated in a developmentally appropriate environment.  I am proud to have a voice in doing what is right for young children and in helping professionals to receive the training and support needed to provide their students with a strong foundation for a love of learning and positive self-esteem.  During my term as president, I will be working with the Shore Affiliate board members to increase communication, leverage technology to connect our members and enhance the programs offered to the early childhood professionals and parents in Monmouth County.”

Cindy Terebush has spent more than 15 years working in education. She has experience teaching and directing in daycare, preschool and school age programs. She is the director of schools at Temple Shalom in Aberdeen.Cindy is the author of the popular blog “Helping Kids Achieve with Cindy Terebush.”  She is an online reporter for “The Shriver Report.”  She has facilitated workshops in venues including the Brookdale Early Childhood Education Conference, the NJAEYC Conference in Atlantic City, schools and parent groups.   She was a speaker at the 2014 Young Child Expo in NYC and the keynote speaker at the 2012 NJ Division for Early Childhood Annual Conference at Kean University.
