Bayonet Farm Arts and Music Festival Call for Artists


PRESS RELEASE for Bayonet Farm Arts and Music Festival

The always popular Bayonet Farm Arts and Music Festival is inviting all artists to register for the 10th anniversary event on Sunday, September 22, from noon to 5 p.m.  Plein Air artists will have the opportunity to create and display their art on the magnificent Bayonet Farms estate. A juried show, with judges James Yarosh, of James Yarosh Associates Fine Art Gallery, and Avis H. Anderson, Executive Director and Curator of the Monmouth Museum and Cultural Center, will provide cash prizes for the winning artists. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, festival organizers are encouraging attendees to purchase art work by offering a 15% discount coupon on sales. The coupon will be available in local publications and at the festival entrance table. In addition to enjoying visual arts, attendees can enjoy performed art.  Back by popular demand will be the Colts Neck Swing Band, the Swampgrass Jug Band,  Los Mas Valientes,  Celadon Youth Group, Doodle Dude, and  the Holmdel Theatre Company.  New this year will be the HUCC Finn Group and a Holmdel student group, Chime.

 The Arts and Music Festival is located at 41 Middletown Road in Holmdel, New Jersey, less than an hour from New York City.  It is supported by The Monmouth County Arts Council through funding from the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the County Historical Commission, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
