Gallery U is pleased to introduce SWART: SOCIAL WORK WORKS, a celebration of National Social Work Month throughout March. A series of events are scheduled that focus on the artwork of NJ social workers and art therapists.

SWART: SOCIAL WORK WORKS opening reception

Friday, March 1, 2013 from 6-9PM

A special exhibition of artwork by NJ social workers and art therapists. Various mediums and styles are included in this exhibition. Participating artists include: Cathy Meier Asher,  Amy Spaans Brooks, Lisa Davidson, Jacqueline Durham, Samantha Farber, Pam Farrell, Kristina L. Kraft, Lindsey Kretschy, Joann Lense, Lynn Macarin-Mara, Pattie McGovern, Martha Rand, Mary Ann Ruane, Cary Schadle, Pamela A. Schott, Mary Lou Killian Searles, and Lou Storey. Artwork will be hanging until March 23, 2013. All are welcome. 

SWART Discussion on Social Work and Art

Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 1-4PM

Participating artists of SWART: SOCIAL WORK WORKS will discuss the connection between social work, art therapy and art. All are welcome. Light refreshments served.

POETRY U: SWART EDITION

Friday, March 22, 2013 from 8-10PM

Gallery U's monthly poetry reading series, POETRY U, will feature social workers who are also poets. Scheduled readers include: Mark Brunetti, Jennifer Cory, Victoria Kaloss, Martha Rand and others. Light refreshments served.
