The Friends of Holmdel Open Space (FOHOS) will guide a leisurely walk through the beautiful Ramanessin Section of Holmdel Park on New Year's Day.
The group will meet at the Ramanessin Trail Access parking area on Roberts Road (across from the Holmdel Park arboretum on Longstreet Road). The walk, to be led by outgoing Holmdel Township Committeeman Larry Fink, is rated “easy to moderate” and will follow scenic farm and forest trails. Families are welcome. It will be held rain, snow, or shine. For more information, call 732-946-3656.

Ramanessin Brook Greenway Nature Trail
The seven-mile Ramanessin Trail is open to nature-loving pedestrians, equestrians, cyclists and geocachers. Visitors can amble from Phillips Park, Holmdel Park, across Longstreet Road through Ramenessin Preserve, to Bayonet Farms, Village School and across Route 520 to Cross Farms. It is being improved upon in increments, so trail conditions vary.
