Holmdel is a great place for artists to paint, with beautiful public spaces like Bayonet Farm and Holmdel Park. As president of the Plein Air Painters of the Jersey Coast, I have been fortunate to paint these locations many times.   I have painted several views of the Red Barn at Bayonet Farm, along with the majestic trees that surround the barn.  Each view captures a unique light and time of day, and required a number of return trips to get the lighting just right.   But what I remember most of these painting sessions is the interesting people that I met.  They were walking their dogs or …
