Jennifer...like to a Brookdale?
Jennifer July 24, 2014 at 09:25 AM
like to anyone he wants to sell to. Including a registered non-profit entity which would then payRead Moreno taxes, circumventing the town's insistence that it wouldn't matter if non-profits go in there, as long as they pay rent to Somerset, we would collect taxes based on the rent. I have no idea if Brookdale is not for profit, but I think probably not. So I am OK if they rent, but if they buy the space? No, I am not OK if it is taken off the tax rolls. Why is that so hard to get through your skull, Tom? I was under the impression that Somerset was building, and leasing space. Not selling off space. Since he is selling almost 1/4 of the building to CHA, I don't think it is a stupid point to ask, can he sell off the rest of it, piece by piece?

Because your assumption about the non profits and not paying taxes in false. He could sell it allRead Moreof f to non profits...the town is still going to get the same amount of revenue because of the pilot agreement.
