Holmdel Boys Varsity soccer beat Delran 3-1 on Friday to advance to the Central Jersey Group II finals.

It was another hard fought game for Holmdel. The first half ended with a 1-1 tie. Holmdel's first half goal was scored by Menos Hiras. Delran came out very focused in the second half and challenged this Holmdel team at every turn.  The scored remained tied until very late in the second half when Eric Bulvid and Jason Kyriacou each scored a goal in rapid succession to guarantee Holmdel the win.

Holmdel's record now stands at 19-2.  Their record and performance so far this year has earned them a ranking of #12 in the state in the latest Star Ledger poll.  

Holmdel now faces #5 seed Long Branch on Monday at 6 pm at Roggy field.  The concession stand will be open so put on your Holmdel gear and bring your kids over for some dinner and cheer on our Boys Varsity Soccer team.
