Woman Run Over By SUV in Holmdel PNC Arts Center Parking Lot Thursday
The woman was taken by helicopter to a trauma center in New Brunswick with serious injuries.
Two people were struck by an SUV in the parking lot of the PNC Bank Arts Center around midnight last night, following the Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan country music concert there.
According to police, the two were laying down on the pavement.
"Alcohol was definitely involved on the part of the pedestrians," said State Police spokesman Lt. Stephen Jones, declining to be more specific.
The SUV with four people inside actually drove over Jessica Hillman, 21, who suffered a broken pelvis, a broken leg and head trauma. She was taken by medevac helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick and was listed in serious but stable condition.
The other victim, 24-year old Charles Wright, who police said does not share the same address in Brick, refused medical attention for his minor injuries.
The parking lot was illuminated at the time of the accident, said Jones.

Please be careful in parking lots! Clearly one won't expect people to lay down in the road, however, taking extra care is clearly a need in NJ.
That said, our best wishes go out to Ms. Hillman, and we hope for her speedy recovery.

I have to say I was not impressed with amount of inebriated young adults at this concert. I do not understand how they were being served alcohol when is was apparent that they could not even stand up!!! Best wishes to Miss Hillman, speedy recovery and hopefully lesson learned!!! As for PNC Arts Center, SHAME ON YOU!!!

I wouldn't blame the Art Center....these people drink in the parking lot....its their own responsibility to consume what they can handle....shame on the person and her friends...because she clearly drank what she can't handle....she is old enough to know...Sooo as I wish for her to have a speedy recovery and glad she is ok...I am sure she knows it was her fault...

excuse me erika but i happen to be a friend of jessica's and for you to say shame on her and her friends you juast sound rediculous because you dont even know her....she wasnt even as intoxicated as you may think...& she was handling herself just fine. she is of legal drinking age also so you all know. she was in the wrong place at the wrong time....for the injuries she sustained that person driving must have been pullin into the parkin space pretty fast...think about....is it really that east to HIT SOMEONE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE? people shouldnt drive like idiots and it clearly states the parkin lot was lit up with lights......so therefore it was THE DRIVERS FAULT !!

Drinking or not drinking, you don't lie down in a parking lot.

I think it's more ridiculous that miss hillman's friends can't spell. Let's face the facts here though... Show was over! Get in your car and go home. Not take back out your chairs and start tailgating again! That IS miss hillman and her friend's fault, but I will then agree with Casey, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. As the for driver, you just should be paying attention next time and know that some people just can't wait to throw back another cold one and lounge/lay/whatever in a parking spot will 200 plus cars are driving around to leave! And Toni McCoy you blaming PNC is also ridiculous... Parking lots were lite, help was called for immediately, and she was taken out ASAP... Get your facts right chief!
