Wine Tasting a Sparkling Success For Holmdel First Aid
A terrific turnout of nearly 400 people surprised and delighted the HFA at the wine tasting night at Bayonet Farm on June 2. Squad President Mike Nikolis raises a toast to say 'thank you' to the community.
On a gorgeous summer like evening, in the cozy Grey Barn at Bayonet Farm, Holmdel First Aid hosted "International Adventures in Wine II."
Close to 400 people came to show their support at our fundraiser which featured a selection of wines, exotic beers and accompanied by hors d'oeuvres.
Thanks to our kind neighbors and friends we were able to raise over $20,000 for the night.
Auctions and raffles on assorted donated baskets and gift cards that were provided by local merchants, were auctioned off through out the evening.
Squad President Mike Nikolis, Trustee Erin McKane, Treasurer Angelo DeRosa, and Assistant Engineer Lourdes Alcaraz coordinated the June 2nd event.
Wine Sellers of Holmdel, located in the Holmdel Towne Center, generously provided the wines for the tasting and donated items for the auction.
Mossuto's Market in Wall on Rt. 35, catered the event as their donation to the the squad with delicious Italian cuisine.
Of the many select wines and spirits available for tasting, some of the crowd favorites were Lindeman's Pecheresse Lambic from Belgium and the Lemon Saranac.
HFAS member and Monmouth County Freeholder Serena DiMaso served as MC for the evening. Several high end items were available to be bid on by people attending.
Many thanks to the following for contributing items to be auctioned off.
