The township's 9/11 memorial is made of black granite, but its surrounding gardens are comprised of perennial flowers and low bushes.

At Sunday night's 9/11 ceremony, t-shirts were sold to help offset the cost of maintaining the gardens, which is done by volunteers with some help from the township Parks and Recreation Dept. The white t-shirts say "Sept. 11, 2001" and "Never Forget." They are $10 each.
