Slippery Roads Cause Several Accidents in Monmouth County Friday

A look at accidents and traffic alerts in area.

 

The following traffic incidents were reported to local police on Friday:

  • As of 5:03 p.m. a FedEx truck was reported to have struck a tree on Route 18 southbound in Marlboro Township near Route 79.

The following accidents were reported on 511nj.org:

  • As of 4:39 p.m., there is a report of an accident at the intersection of Red Hill Road and Crawfords Corner Road in Holmdel. 
  • As of 4:31 p.m., there's an accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound local lanes near exit 117 - NJ 36 in Hazlet Twp. All lanes open.
  • As of 4:19 p.m., there was a report of a car accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound near mile 117.3 in Holmdel. 
  • As of 3:45 p.m., there's an accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound local lanes near exit 116 - PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. All lanes open.
  • As of 3:44 p.m., there's an accident on the Garden State Parkway northbound local lanes near exit 117 - NJ 36 in Aberdeen. All lanes open.
  • As of 3:43 p.m., there's an accident on the Garden State Parkway southbound express lanes near exit 117 - NJ 36 in Aberdeen. All lanes open.
  • As of 3:42, there's a report of an overturned vehicle near the split of Route 35 and Route 36.

The following traffic alerts have been issued on 511nj.org:

  • As of 3:01 p.m., there's flooding on Route 35 South at County Road in Aberdeen. The right lane is closed and drivers are asked to use caution.
