Severe Weather Predicted for Remainder of Tuesday

A severe thunderstorm warning, flood warning, and hazardous weather outlook issued for area.

 

Monmouth County residents are expected to receive severe thunderstorms with a strong possibility of flash flooding this afternoon and tonight.

At approximately 1 p.m. today, The National Weather Service (NWS) issued three alerts for area residents including a severe thunderstorm warning, flood warning, and hazardous weather outlook.

According to the alerts, there is a possibility of hail and damaging winds along with rapid rainfall. The severe thunderstorm warning will remain in effect until 2:15 p.m. today.

There is also a flash flood warning is until 5:30 p.m. 

The NWS is asking residents to report hail and strong winds by calling 1-877-633-6772. Additional information about these alerts can be seen at the NWS website.
