It's good to have new recommendations for sushi, which we love. For something a little different, try Sogo Sushi on Monmouth Street in Red Bank. They use brown rice in their super-fresh rolls, which adds incredible texture and flavor. I can't eat plain old white rice sushi anymore.

Mahzu in Matawan - awesome, friendly & prompt service. Great appetizers, main entrees and even desert! Also, the inside is a very spacious and luxurious venue - very appealing to the eye. Choice of a sit down table or seats at the hibachi grills.

I also like Nemo's in Keyport. I recommend the Snow Tree Roll, which has salmon, avocado, and cucumber and is topped artfully with crab meat. It looks like it is covered with coconut. Mmmmm. I can't believe you don't have Nemo's in your poll. It has a very nice view of Keyport harbor. Parking on Front Street is rarely a problem, plus there is parking in the rear. They also have nice hot meals. I've been there 4 times at least.

Mahzu in Matawan. We go there to eat-in or take-out at least once a week.
Mahzu in Freehold is also great; we meet friends there for lunch. Very classy and excellent, fresh offerings at both locations.

Mahzu is the best! Huge, fresh slices of sashimi with great service and friendly staff! The managers are always around to greet their guests and ensure that we are taken care of. It's also BYOB venue, which needless to say.. AWESOME!! If it's not too busy, they let kids feed their koi fish which the kids definitely enjoy doing.
